Yes. For each type of ceremony I perform, I present you with certificates on the day. For example, for a baby naming, there will be several certificates to sign for the godparents, guardians or mentors of the children and for you as a keepsake for your child. |

For a marriage, you receive a presentation certificate of marriage. While this is evidence that you are married, many government departments do not accept this presentation certificate. Therefore, I recommend that you apply for a Certificate of Marriage issued by the Births, Deaths and Marriages authority in the State where you marry. |

In Queensland, the cost of this certificate is currently $37.00. If you fill out the application form with me and pay this fee, I send the application off with my official paperwork. This is a simple way of obtaining it, as you do not need to supply any extra proof of identity to Births, Deaths and Marriages. If you leave it until later, you will need to supply proof of identity and also post in an application form or attend at the office in Brisbane to lodge it. |
